Luminous Sea Sorcerous “Monsters & Dames” (Metallic Linen ECCC 2017 - 12x18 Exclusive)

Celebrating women of color, wisdom and intellect, this sorcerous summons her power from the beauty and tranquility of water. Like a lot of Denis Caron's other pieces this uses a witch as a metaphor for the unique strengths that woman hold. However the use of bright colors is intended to break away from the dark stereotypes in which witches often hold. In addition to African inspired colors, a spectrum of other colors are included as a nod to the variety of differences that make up humanity.
